Troubleshooting "Instance Unreachable" Errors
Category: Technical Support (Mapple Compute)
Summary
If your Mapple Core instance is not responding via SSH or HTTP, follow these initial validation steps before escalating to an engineer:
Check Security Groups: Ensure port 22 (SSH) or port 80/443 (HTTP/S) is open for your IP address.
Status Checks: In your Mapple Dashboard, verify if "System Status" or "Instance Status" shows a "Failed" state.
CPU Credits: Check if your instance has exhausted its CPU burst credits, which may cause it to throttle and appear offline.
Action: If the instance remains unresponsive after a "Hard Reboot," please provide your Instance ID to the Mapi Bot.
2. Understanding Your Mapple Monthly Invoice
Category: Billing & Account Management
Summary
Mapple uses a pay-as-you-go model. If your bill is higher than expected, it is usually due to one of three factors:
Data Egress: Costs incurred when moving large amounts of data out of the Mapple Cloud to the internet.
Unattached Volumes: You may be paying for storage (Mapple Orchard) that is no longer attached to a running server.
Snapshots: Frequent automated backups can accumulate costs over time.
Action: Use the Mapple Cost Explorer in your console to filter charges by "Service" or "Region" for a granular breakdown.
3. How to Request a Service Quota Increase
Category: Other / Account Services
Summary
To protect customers from unexpected costs and ensure system stability, all new Mapple accounts start with default limits (e.g., a maximum of 10 active Mapple Core instances).
Standard Limits: Most limits can be increased instantly via the Service Quotas dashboard.
High-Capacity Requests: If you require more than 100+ instances for a large-scale deployment, our team requires 48 hours' notice.
Required Info: You must specify the Region (e.g., US-East-1) and the specific Instance Type you need.
